An architectural standing seam metal roofing project located in Longboat Key, Florida, presented a unique challenge on a residential home situated between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway. The project was taken on by Integrity Metals, who utilized Sheffield Metals and New Tech Machinery products to bring the design to life.

Sheffield Metals played a crucial role in supporting Boys Hope Girls Hope’s new Rajan Center in Ohio by donating and installing a high-quality metal roof. This contribution, made possible through collaboration with various partners and a generous donor, helped provide the organization with a durable and low-maintenance roofing solution for their state-of-the-art facility.

Visitors of the American Indian Hall on the Montana State University campus in Bozeman, Montana, are met with an eagle feather in the form of a 4,000 square-foot standing seam metal roof above the entrance. The American Indian Hall — including the eagle feather roof — finally became a reality upon its completion and grand opening in late 2021.

Although PVDF and SMP warranties are similar, they contain distinct differences that homeowners, contractors, and architects should be aware of. Understanding the fine print of these warranties and what each offer can help you choose the right paint coating for your project. In this article, we’ll look at the difference between SMP and PVDF warranties for metal roofs, examining how they’re similar and different.

Project specifications are crucial in the design process, providing product specialists, manufacturers, and contractors with a single source of truth. Incorrect specs can lead to a cycle of clarifications and change requests, extending the design phase. In this video, Lori Reynolds Morrow and Anne Roeper from the Sheffield Metals Architectural Department join Thad Barnette to discuss common pitfalls in metal roof spec writing.

Metal roof design requires focused consideration of different aspects of a project, including client preferences, regional requirements, material selection, and more. It can be helpful to simplify these different topics and learn how to approach them as efficiently as possible. After working with hundreds of architects and design professionals over the years, we’ve compiled an e-book that provides a high-level look at design considerations for standing seam metal roof systems.
