The Travis Mills story is one of resilience and determination that ultimately inspired the creation of the Travis Mills Foundation. In this video, we learn about the foundation’s work to support recalibrated veterans and their families and about the Sheffield Metals standing seam roof on their new Health & Wellness Center.
An army veteran amputee, family man, and inspirational speaker, Travis Mills embodies the concept of recalibrating to a new normal and how to find motivation to push forward through tragic circumstances. The Travis Mills Foundation was created to help similar disabled veterans face the challenges of adjusting to life after recalibration, the steps to managing mental health struggles, and developing the right support systems in their recovery journey.
In this video, Thad Barnette talks with Travis to explore his story as a recalibrated veteran, his efforts to support other injured service members, and how the work of the Travis Mills Foundation is making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families. Jeff Hock of Sheffield Metals is given a tour of the facility where he learns about the importance of partnerships and volunteer support, as well as the significance of the Sheffield Metals metal roof donation for the foundation’s Health & Wellness Center.
