Matt Risinger Comparison: Wood Battens vs. Dimple Mat vs. 3D Mesh

There are many options available when it comes to creating an air gap underneath your metal roof. Today on The Metal Roofing Channel, Matt Risinger joins Thad to discuss three different types of assemblies used on Matt’s new house. They compare and contrast furring strips (also known as battens), a 3D mesh product by Keen called Viper Vent CDR, and a ventilated dimple mat by Sharkskin. The air gap created under his 1.0 inch mechanical seam metal roof will help promote cool roofing properties and will ideally make the home more energy efficient over time.
