Sheffield Metals 2025 Highlights: 6 New Offerings for the Metal Roofing Industry

See Sheffield Metals’ 2025 highlights, from WoodCraft™ and ZAM® to the Architect Hub and fire-rated underlayment solutions.

2025 has been an exciting year for Sheffield Metals International. From product launches to new downloadable tools and customer-facing programs, our teams across the U.S. have worked to deliver more value, better resources, and industry solutions for contractors, architects, and building owners.

Below, we recap the best highlights of 2025 — and how each one supports your success in the metal roofing and wall industry.

1. WoodCraft™: Metal Siding That Looks Like Real Wood

One of this year’s most exciting launches, WoodCraft™, is a wood-look finish for 24-gauge steel. It merges the natural warmth of wood grain with the long-term durability of 24-gauge, PVDF-coated steel. Available in Golden Oak, Light Walnut, Rosewood, and Warm Gray, WoodCraft provides architects and contractors a realistic, low-maintenance alternative to natural wood products.

Here’s why WoodCraft should be considered for your next project:

  • Authentic wood grain appearance without the rot, warping, or maintenance of real wood
  • High-performance PVDF coating designed for architectural applications
  • Ideal for residential, commercial accents, and modern rustic designs
  • A new aesthetic option in an industry where homeowners and designers increasingly want organic textures with metal’s longevity

WoodCraft has been one of the most discussed new SMI offerings of 2025 — and we expect demand to continue growing into 2026.

2. Residential Referral Program: Connecting Homeowners with Qualified Metal Roofing Contractors

SMI launched the Residential Referral Program in 2025 to help match homeowners with vetted metal roofing contractors.

Here’s how it works:

  • Homeowners receive trusted recommendations rather than sorting through dozens of options
  • Contractors gain high-quality residential leads
  • Helps elevate industry standards by directing consumers to installers experienced specifically in standing seam metal roofing
  • Supports more high quality and successful residential roofing projects

This program has already started building stronger connections between SMI, contractors, and homeowners.

New call-to-action

3. Shechtl Brakes and Shears: High-Quality Equipment for Fabricators

This year, Sheffield Metals expanded its equipment offerings to include Schechtl brakes and shears, giving contractors and fabricators more access to precision forming equipment backed by SMI’s industry expertise.

Here’s how purchasing equipment from Sheffield Metals can benefit your business:

  • Reliable machinery for bending, shearing, and fabricating metal
  • Better control over quality and production timelines
  • Supported by SMI’s equipment and material experts for training, maintenance, and purchasing

Adding Schechtl machinery to the product lineup reinforces SMI’s mission to be a one-stop partner for materials, tools, engineering, and support. Contact your account manager for information on purchasing Schectl metal fabrication machinery today.

4. Architect Hub: The One-Stop Resource for Design Professionals

The Sheffield Metals Architect Hub launched in 2025, offering architects a streamlined place to access specification information, panel profile details, testing, product approvals, project resources, color information, and engineering documentation.

Architect Hub features include:

  • Detailed documentation for steep and low-slope profiles
  • Contact information for SMI expert architectural reps
  • Access to testing, guide specifications, CAD files, warranties, and code compliance materials
  • A simplified way to begin working with SMI on engineered systems and weathertight warranties

With the industry’s continued focus on compliance, documentation, and environmental performance, the Architect Hub has become an essential resource for design professionals.

5. Titanium® FR: A Class A Fire-Rated Underlayment for Metal Roofs

Fire-rated materials are becoming more important every year. Sheffield Metals was excited to begin offering Titanium® FR, a Class A fire-rated underlayment ideal for use beneath metal roofing systems.

Here’s why contractors are choosing Titanium FR:

  • Underlayment and fire-barrier all in one — no third layer of material needed between metal and underlayment
  • Designed for ultra-high temperature resistance beneath metal
  • Lightweight, slip-resistant, and easy to install
  • Suitable for projects in wildfire-prone areas or with strict local fire codes
  • Enhances the overall safety and compliance of metal roofing assemblies

It’s quickly becoming a preferred option for contractors working on high-performance and code-sensitive roofing projects.

6. East Chicago Branch: Expanded Support for the Midwest

Sheffield Metals expanded its operations in 2025 with the opening of the East Chicago branch, helping supply steel coil, sheet, engineering resources, and customer service to contractors throughout the Midwest.

What this means for customers:

  • Shorter lead times and easier pickup for Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and surrounding regions
  • Improved regional inventory across popular colors and gauges
  • More on-the-ground technical and sales support
  • Strengthening SMI’s network of nationwide branches

This expansion further ensures contractors across the Midwest can access consistent, high-quality materials and support.

Looking Ahead to 2026

2025 was another year of growth and innovation in the metal roofing industry, and Sheffield Metals was excited to offer new products and platforms to help customers with their projects. Through new products like WoodCraft , expanded resources like the Architect Hub, and branch growth in key markets, contractors can continue to grow their businesses with Sheffield Metals.

We look forward to continuing our mission in 2026 and beyond.
